March 5 marked the beginning of National Women in Construction Week, the annual observance started by the National Association of Women in Construction to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in construction. The latest figures from 2014 found that nearly 9 percent of the 9.8 million construction industry workers were women, according to my blog.
