28 States Now Have Right-to-Work Laws

Missouri became the latest state to join the right-to-work labor movement. Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens signed the regulation into law on Feb. 6, giving workers the right to refuse to join a union or pay union dues on union projects and worksites. Construction Dive explains more.

Baltimore-Towson Metro Area Ranked 16th in Commercial/Multifamily Construction Starts

Baltimore-Towson metro area saw a 29 percent increase in 2016 over 2015 in commercial building and multifamily construction starts, according to a new Dodge Data & Analytics report of the top 20 metro areas nationwide. In 2016, the area had $2.35 billion in commercial/multifamily construction starts, versus $1.82 billion in 2015.
